Mayco Pottery Cascade – White Cascade (Cone 06/05)

Mayco Pottery Cascade – White Cascade is a specialty glaze formulated to create flowing, layered, and cascading effects in low-fire ceramic work. Originally developed to replicate the visual movement once achieved with leaded glazes, White Cascade adds a soft, milky veil or slight tint when applied with or over compatible glazes.

Perfect for artists and designers working at Cone 06/05, White Cascade can be brushed or dabbed onto bisqueware, and works beautifully when paired with gloss or matte finishes. The results are organic and unpredictable—no two pieces will ever look exactly alike.

How to Use:

• Apply 1–2 coats with a brush or sponge

• Use under or over a compatible glaze for layered effects

• Allow to dry thoroughly before firing

• Fire to Cone 06 or 05

• Avoid application on the bottom third of vertical pieces to prevent excessive glaze flow

Design Tips:

• Use brushstrokes, dabbing, or layering techniques to control flow

• Excellent for simulating high-fire glaze aesthetics at low temperatures

• Ideal for decorative ceramics, not intended for functional ware
