Grumbacher Picture Varnish – Matte, 12.75 oz is a final spray varnish designed to protect completed oil and acrylic paintings with a uniform matte finish. This professional-grade varnish is formulated with acrylic resin to create a protective film that resists dust, moisture, and other environmental pollutants.

Use this varnish as the final step once your artwork has fully dried—after at least 6 months for oils and 5 days for acrylics. It is removable with paint thinner or other mild solvents, making it a suitable choice for artists concerned with future conservation and restoration.
