Unleash watercolor’s magic on any surface!
With DANIEL SMITH Watercolor Ground, you can paint vibrant, transparent watercolors on wood, canvas, metal, glass, plastic, stone, plaster—even decorative paper or fabric.
This archival, acid-free ground creates a surface texture like cold-press watercolor paper. It’s thick, heavily pigmented, and holds up to scrubbing and lifting. Use it to fix mistakes, add texture, or highlight areas with iridescent or pearlescent effects.
Available colors:
• Titanium White – Classic bright white, perfect for “white out” fixes, also in 16 oz.
• Buff Titanium – Warm undertone for cozy moods, also in 16 oz.
• Mars Black – Dramatic dark background for vivid colors & luminescents, also in 16 oz.
• Iridescent Gold – Semi-transparent, stunning shine for decorative accents.
