We’re a small, slightly chaotic, art-obsessed crew who help people make cool things.
If you like helping someone find the exact shade of paint they didn’t know they needed—and don’t mind occasionally vacuuming glitter out of the carpet—you’ll probably fit right in.
Do I Need to Be an Artist?
Nope. Not even a little.
Art experience is helpful, but it’s not required.
What matters more:
- Willingness to learn
- Reliability
- Talking to customers like a normal human
- Taking initiative (we’ll explain what that means below)
You can learn art supplies on the job. We’ll teach you.
What It’s Actually Like to Work Here
This is retail—with a creative twist.
On any given day, you might:
- Help customers find supplies
- Answer questions (or figure them out)
- Ring people up
- Restock and organize
- Clean (yes, including bathrooms)
- Jump in wherever needed
If you like staying busy and figuring things out as you go, you’ll do great here.
What We Mean by “Initiative”
This is important.
Initiative does not mean “doing extra work for no reason.”
It means:
- Trying a couple reasonable things before asking for help
- Solving problems when you can
- Taking the next logical step
Example:
If something is out of stock, you don’t just stop there—you help find a solution.
Real Talk: Expectations
We’re a small team, so everyone helps with everything:
- Cleaning (yes, bathrooms are included)
- Stocking and facing
- Helping customers regularly
- Finding things to do when it’s slow
If you prefer to wait to be told what to do, this probably isn’t the right fit.
Scheduling & Flexibility
We do our best to work with your schedule.
We regularly accommodate:
- School schedules
- Finals week
- Important life events
As long as communication is clear and reliable, we’re usually happy to work with you.
